PROTEST THE HERO: First Studio Webisode Available
September 19, 2010Canadian metal band PROTEST THE HERO recently entered the studio to begin recording its third full-length album. The group is once again working with producer Julius "Juice" Butty at both Jukasa Studios and Silo Recording Studio. The record will be mixed by producer/engineer Machine for an early 2011 release.
The first in a series of video reports from the studio can be viewed below.
PROTEST THE HERO's sophomore album, "Fortress" came out on January 29, 2008. The band has previously stated that "Fortress" does not revolve around a single concept, like "Kezia", its 2006 debut, but is instead more closely akin to "goddess worship in the tradition of Robert Graves."
PROTEST THE HERO released a live CD/DVD titled "Gallop Meets The Earth" in August 2009 via Underground Operations/Universal Music Canada and Vagrant Records in the U.S. The disc includes footage of the band's December 18, 2008 concert at the Sound Academy in Toronto and a number of bonus features.
